Cook Composites and Polymers has entered the North American
powder coatings resin business in 2002. The new business
unit will offer a complete range of functional polyester powder
coatings resins, including specialty resins and additives.
This expansion will position CCP to provide coatings manufacturers
with a full spectrum of both liquid and solid grade
resins. The products will bring to the U.S. marketplace environmentally-
friendly technologies developed in Europe by
CCP’s Atofina-associated company, Cray Valley, according to
the company.
This new facet of CCP’s business supports the company’s
goal to become a complete supplier to the coatings industry.
The company’s new powders coatings resin manufacturing
facility is scheduled for completion in Aug. 2002 at CCP’s
pilot plant in Kansas City, MO.
